Prank

Runners of the Imfolozi Outrun were the victims of a funny prank, spotting a lion along the run, thankfully it was stuffed; but their reactions are priceless!

KwaZulu-Natal, South Africa – The iMfolozi Outrun is a 2-day stage run held in the iMfolozi Game Reserve. The first day sees runners doing a 19km and the second day, a 15km. The race takes place through the game reserve, meaning the chances of encountering one of the big five or other wildlife along the way are pretty high.

In fact, the runners got to watch as a herd of elephants crossed the road just a kilometre from the finish line on the final day.

To make the run even more exhilarating, the iMfolozi Outrun team decided to prank the runners by placing a stuffed lion along the trail. Some didn’t notice the beast at all while others had major panics at the sight of the stuffed lion.

A total of 300 runners took part in the race. All who did thoroughly enjoyed the adventure and chance to run alongside the most beautiful animals in South Africa.

Take a look at the hilarious prank below. We know if it were us, there would be many tears involved too.
