A little South African toddler is going viral for his adorable performance of a traditional Shembe dance. The internet can’t get enough of his cuteness!
South Africa (23 July 2018) – A video of a South African toddler is trending across social media because people can’t get enough of how adorable his moves are. In the video, he performs a Shembe Dance, commonly performed by followers of the amaNazarites. Here is a little background on the traditional dance…
The amaNazarites combine their traditions and culture with their faith in God. The religious movement and church was founded by Isaiah Shembe in 1910 and is one of the largest followings within the Zulu communities.
The amaNazarites place a big emphasis on their traditional dance and dress. It is the traditional clothing that distinguishes rank within the church.
This is a deeply rooted South African religion and it plays a vital role in the history of the Zulu community. It is great to see the tradition carried on through such a young and dedicated toddler.
People have loved the toddler and have said they can’t stop watching the video, they keep playing it over and over because of the cuteness overload! We have to agree, we can’t get enough of this adorable toddler and his epic moves either!
