Lisa Wilkinson did a Valentine’s Day themed #RAK17 for the people of Johannesburg. By handing out roses and smiles to strangers.
Lisa Wilkinson got up at 4am this morning, traipsing through the garden with a torch and pair of scissors, she went to cut fresh roses that were donated to her just for her #RAK17 today.
At 5am she headed out to start handing out freshly cut roses to strangers on Valentine’s Day.
“5am we hit the street and started handing out dew-covered roses of all colours and SMILES!”
At first people were hesitant when approached, but as soon as they realised that Lisa was sharing the Valentine’s Day spirit with a good deed, by handing out a rose to each person, there was hugs and laughing all around!
“Simple acts of kindness, it’s not difficult to do, but it is also not difficult Not to do.”
Lisa’s father was beaming with pride and joy at his daughters Random Act of Kindness,
“Thanks for today’s random acts of kindness. Impact on other lives we will never know, but it does.”
Today 70 extra people in Johannesburg felt valued, isn’t that what Valentines is all about?
