Wildebees Outdoor, a proudly South African brand, is gaining viral attention and consumer love with its humorous and authentic marketing approach.

South Africa (27 March 2024) – Wildebees Outdoor, a proudly South African brand, is taking a refreshingly different approach to their latest marketing campaign and it is working!

Instead of relying on traditional marketing tactics, this outdoor brand is winning hearts with its unique brand of humour. And South Africans are absolutely loving it!

The brand recently released a series of videos on social media that have taken the internet by storm. The first video features a spokesperson with a delightful Afrikaans/English accent explaining the brand’s overseas shipping policy in the most humorous way possible:

“If you have a friend or family member that lives over the seas, Wildebeest is now sending pakkies to the overseas places wif a boat. But it’s a quick boat but it doesn’t drive on a Saturday because Saturdays we braai. And On Sundays, we don’t work.”

The video quickly garnered over half a million views, with South Africans flooding the comments section with praise.

“Cutest ad ever🥰😂😂 “over the seas”😂😂”

“The acting was so on point 😂😭”

“Saturday we working on the braai 😁😁”

“‘All jokes aside’ – accent immediately changes 😂”

Not content with just one viral hit, Wildebees Outdoor released a second video where the spokesperson humorously addresses the “controversy” surrounding her accent and the response has been nothing short of amazing!

“I’m here for the first accent l👌🔥”

“Whoever is in charge of the marketing needs a raise 😂”

“I am here for the accent 😂😂 I don’t even hunt 🤷🏽‍♀️but am considering getting that boot.”

By injecting humour and personality into their promotional videos, they have managed to create a genuine connection with their audience. Instead of bombarding consumers with hard sells and flashy ads, Wildebees Outdoor offers something far more valuable: entertainment. And in a world where we are constantly being sold to, a brand that can make us laugh is truly a breath of fresh air.

For a good laugh and some great outdoor products, Wildebees Outdoor is definitely worth checking out. And remember, as they say, “On Saturdays, we braai, and on Sundays, we don’t work.” Cheers to that!
