The Ndlovu Youth Choir are performing their first live show on Americas Got Talent this week and this is how we can help them get through.
South Africa – The Ndlovu Youth Choir were invited to sing the national anthem during this weekends’ rugby game at Loftus Versfeld seeing the Springboks go up against Argentina. Their performance was lovely and made for a good break before heading back to the USA for the next round of Americas Got Talent.
The youth choir have made it through the first two rounds and are now gearing up to do the live performance rounds. Half the choir is in South Africa while the other half set off for the United States to compete in Americas Got Talent live shows.
Their first audition went viral and had many South Africans in tears with their beautiful performance. It had everyone bubbling with pride. If you missed it, you can watch the audition here.
The choir forms part of a more significant project which started in 1994. The Ndlovu Care Group was founded in 1994 by a Dutch doctor names Dr Hugo Templeman, in the rural village of Moutse, Limpopo.
In their last audition, the choir performed ‘Waka Waka’ and Simon Cowell was so impressed he said he wished he could bottle them up to drink every day. Their first live show performance is tonight in America and they are going up against some phenomenal acts, two of which are Golden Buzzer performances.
Sadly we are not eligible to vote for the choir BUT if you have friends or family in the US, District of Columbia and Puerto Rico, ask them to vote for our super talented Youth Choir
We are also not able to watch the live shows just yet but you can follow the live progress via the hashtag #AGT on social media where people will post play-by-play accounts of the show.
We are holding all our fingers and toes Ndlovu, SA is supporting you every step of the way!
