The Ndlovu Youth Choir teamed up with Wouter Kellerman, a South African Flautist, to film their incredible isiZulu cover of Ed Sheeran’s “Shape of You”

Recently the Ndlovu Youth Choir performed an isiZulu cover of Ed Sheeran’s “Shape of You” during an interview on Jacaranda’s breakfast show. They have since been given the opportunity to film a cool music video for their cover. It is just as incredible as their original performance. The choir teamed up with Wouter Kellerman, a South African Flautist to film the music video.

The Ndlovu Care Group was founded in 1994 by a Dutch doctor names Dr Hugo Templeman, in the rural village of Moutse, Limpopo.

The care group provides innovative healthcare, childcare, education and community development. The Ndlovu Youth Choir was created in 2009 and has since, profoundly affected the lives of the young members.

Given more opportunity to shine, the choir demonstrates the profound potential of any human being. Given the chance achieve excellence no matter their background, education or place of birth the choir has grown from humble beginnings to the incredible ensemble it is today.

“The fact that you were born in a place of poverty, does not make you poor. You are always able to uplift yourself, especially when excellence is offered to you, and programmes like the Ndlovu Youth Choir provide an opportunity for these young people to express themselves and give them a voice that perhaps they didn’t know they had.”

The choir has taken these young South Africans from the rural streets of Moutse to national stages to show off their amazing talents! It has also given them a loud and powerful voice… one that is giving them hope and taking them to incredible heights.

You can watch the amazing video below. Hopefully, this grabs the attention of Ed’s team and the choir gets invited to perform when he arrives in South Africa early next year.
