Multiple Zoo’s got involved in a ‘Tweet Off’ to show some of their cutest zoo residents. The feed will make you feel all fuzzy inside due to the cuteness overload!

Who doesn’t love seeing baby animals? Or even just really cute looking adult ones? Well over the last few days a show-down of great proportions took over twitter in what has been dubbed a ‘Tweet Off’. The battle started when a picture of a grey seal pup was released to the press by Smithsonian’s National Zoo.

Sarah Hill a Twitter user from Virginia, saw the post and challenged the Virginia Aquarium to post something cuter so they did.

From there nearly all major city zoo’s and aquariums around America proceeded to tweet out their cutest animals. We have complied some of the cutest tweets from the ‘Tweet Off’ for your entertainment.

There are just so many cute pictures! Who would you pick as the winner of the Cutest Animal Tweet Off?

Some of the zoo’s and aquariums got really funny with some puns too!

Twitter users have been praising the positive use of a Twitter Feud.

“If someone is having a bad day, just point them to the fact that zoos have begun a twitter war #cutestanimaltweetoff” – @_kabaiel

Since the #CuteAnimalTweetOff has been such a hit a few other animal/zoo twitter accounts have posted their cutest pictures too.

We didn’t even scrape the surface of cuteness, the hashtag for the feed is filled with adorable land animals and water dwellers which you can scroll through for ages and each picture just makes you fell better and better! We hope that this trend never fades!
