“Lonely Christmas” might be her first single but we’re guessing this is just the start of a very long career for Wallis!

Global (17 December 2020) – Could this be the catchiest Christmas song to be released in 2020? A couple of days ago, Wallis Schriver only had a couple of views on her Youtube video but today she has had over 600 000 and that number keeps rising by the minute!

The 15-year-old says she wrote the song to express her feelings about the pandemic while remaining optimistic that “everything is going to be okay”. Wallis released the debut single on the 3rd of December 2020 without realizing she had a hit on her hands.

“I expected some of my friends to maybe watch it and say ‘Hey, good job on your song!’ but I really didn’t expect this,” she said.

But the video has started trending around the globe, leaving everyone like they have just been introduced to a new star!

“Listen woman: you have a songwriting talent that is something to be reckoned with. It is not easy to write a good hook; and I would say it’s almost impossible to write a really good Christmas song. You have done both in high style. Please keep going!” – Brujaja Wrought

Somewhere Mariah Carey is waking up from a Vicodin and chardonnay cat nap sensing a disturbance in the force.” – Clinton Vardaman

“Welcome to the world, kid. Prepare to be a star.” – Rob H

“This is outstanding, young lady. First of all, it’s nearly unheard of to write new Christmas music, let alone something that could become a standard. But you’ve done it here. This could play on the radio alongside Burl Ives and Mariah Carrey all day long. Thank you for creating what will probably be the one good thing that will come out of 2020. Merry Christmas, Wallis.” – Jill Klausen

“Excellent. I love fluffy/poppy songs with intelligent rhymes. Well sung too. Wouldn’t surprise me if you became a household name on the pop charts in the next few years.” – Rogier van Bakel
