While we all are going through such hardships and change and we may feel that we don’t know what’s coming next… all we really have left is our love for each other, and we should be putting that love on display!
Australia (24 October 2020) – Guy Sebastian is set for a return to the hearts of the globe with his brand new feel-good track ‘Love On Display’!
Sebastian is an Australian singer and songwriter who was the winner of the first Australian Idol in 2003, and a judge on Australia’s The X Factor in 2010, 2011, 2012, 2015 and 2016. He represented Australia at the 2015 Eurovision Song Contest, finishing in 5th place. Sebastian is currently a coach on The Voice Australia as of 2019.
Sebastian has released nine top ten albums, including two number ones. The first seven all gained either platinum or multi-platinum certification. He has also achieved twenty-two top twenty singles, with thirteen reaching the top ten, including six number ones.
He is the only Australian male artist in Australian chart history to achieve six number-one singles and places third overall for all Australian acts, and it looks like his new song is giving the globe all the feels!
The sixth song to be released ahead of his ninth studio album, T.R.U.T.H. – Guy singles out ‘Love On Display’ as one of his favourite album tracks even though it was difficult to pin down.
“I knew that the song needed a certain feeling and it needed to get to a certain place where there was this energy, and I just could not get it to a point where it felt really, really right,” he recounts.
“We tried so many different versions of this song, it’s ridiculous! And then I did what I always do when I’m in that situation: I flicked it onto M-Phazes. He worked his magic and got some really great playing on there. There’s a guy called Ian Peres who plays guitar, bass and organ and stuff, and it just feels like a really soulful, fun, pop song and a really simple song to sing along to.” The HamilTones‘ smooth BVs add lustre and Sebastian enthuses of ‘Love On Display’, “There’s something about that song. When it comes on I get this joyous, happy feeling.”
Guy Sebastian is the first to admit that his upcoming album, T.R.U.T.H. bloomed from adversity; however, this album has proven that the singer-songwriter has true grit and depth that delivers a deeper, more profound window into the vocal talent and heart of one of Australia’s most popular and respected male artists.
