Advert

In 2016 Allegro released a Christmas advert that moved the world, now three years later, people are still not over how great it made them feel.

Global – One would think that all these Christmas adverts that make us cry are created to sell tissues. That would be smart, to be honest, but they are not, they are created to promote a number of things.

In 2016, Allegro, the Polish version of Takealot, released their Christmas advert and to date, it is still one of the very best we have ever seen.

The trick about Christmas adverts is that when they feel real, they mean more. Adverts that focus on family and friendships usually do well.

The Allegro advert from 2016 shows a side to family life that we sometimes take for granted. Once again, we don’t want to give too much away because the joy is in the surprise. But this is the gist, an old man orders an English for beginners kit and starts to learn English.

He sticks notes all over the house, practices wherever he goes and then, packs his bags and sets off to go to England. The tears will flow when you watch him arrive. Take a look at why he is learning English below.

PS: he does drop a little f-bomb along the way so just be aware.
