The Angel Network want to give the gift of safety to families in need this December; collecting unused and unwanted car-chairs.
Johannesburg, South Africa – Silly season is upon us, so it is essential we all take precautions when on the roads in South Africa.
The most important thing when driving is to make sure your children are safe. There are several things that need to be done to keep children safe while driving. Car-chairs and boosters are essential to prevent injury. In case of an accident, it is also crucial to have a “baby on board” sticker visible in the car.
Did you know the sticker has the sole purpose of notifying first responders to find the baby or child first?
Anyhoo, the Angel Network want to help families that do not have the money to invest in car-chairs and boosters. They are collecting unused and unwanted ones to refurbish and give to people in need. Every donation received will get a deep clean and go towards keeping babies and young children safe and buckled up.
“December holidays are around the corner and excitement levels are running high. The sad reality is that we will lose children in car crashes and many families will have a devastating loss instead of happy memories. Many of these deaths can be avoided with a car seat, but many families either cannot afford them or are not yet aware of the life-saving benefits.
The #CarSeatsforKids campaign has a vision of seeing every kid in every car in a car seat. You can help us reach that dream by donating your old car seat to us. We will clean them and check them for safety before they go to parents who cannot afford them new.”
