Kindness Like Confetti sent out a gentle reminder that the organisation is still collecting gently used underwear which uplifts women in need.
Johannesburg, South Africa (04 July 2023) – Basic clothing items, such as underwear and socks, are often the most needed items by charities that support destitute citizens in South Africa. The Kindness Like Confetti (KLC) Johannesburg team collects these items to help restore dignity to people who need it most. They specifically focus on collecting gently used bras for women.
Project Uplift is used to provide underwear for women that cannot afford to purchase their own. KLC is a registered non-profit organisation with six main projects – collecting and distributing sanitary products, a feeding scheme, a knitting project called The Joseph Jersey Project, a dignity bag project to support victims of rape, trauma and abuse, Project Uplift, collecting new and gently used bras for women and an animal welfare support project. There are four additional KLC branches including Cape Town, Gqberha, Knysna and Pretoria.
They have sent out a small reminder to let the public know that they are still collecting bras and that Johannesburg residents remember them when doing any upcoming spring cleaning.
“Please continue to donate your gently worn (& laundered) bras and panties that you no longer wear. You’ll be making a huge difference in the lives of women who cannot afford their own.”
