There are 39 days to Christmas, so we have 39 movies and series to watch; a Christmas movie can get you into the festive spirit and bring joy to you and your family.
South Africa (16 November 2020) – The whole world is in for celebrating the festive season early to help bring some much-needed cheer back into our lives. Many people have been counting down the days to having a little break and distraction from the big crazy world.
Over the last month or so, we have started sharing all our favourite Christmas content with you. From the heartwarming adverts to the best ideas on how to support family and friends, as well as starting the joyous celebrations a little earlier this year!
Christmas isn’t about decking the halls, buying up all the gifts and all the usual commercial things we have grown used to. Christmas is about family and sharing the love. It is about spreading joy and celebrating new life. And we can all use a bit more of spreading love and joy!
So starting today, we say you can officially sing/hum Christmas carols in public, put your tree up and decorate your home without offending anyone. It is officially the day the grinches of the world can go get their stockings stuffed. Why? Because why not? It is your life, so go and be merry!
Today also marks the first day of the very best season of the year! If you haven’t noticed yet, the Christmas Spirit is strong in the Good Things Guy office. We love the festive season; it brings the very best out in people. It is the one time of year where everyone feels the same kind of excitement and spreading joy to those around them.
Everything comes in an advent these days, gone are the days where you popped a simple misshaped, practically melted bit of chocolate out a numbered door, now you get gin, beers, candles, beauty products and more in advent calendars. This inspired us to do an advent style post.
We want to share all the must-see (or rewatch) movies leading up to Christmas morning. These movies are all designed to make you feel super festive. They are not listed in any particular order so pick and chose as you feel and enjoy your Christmas movie lead-up to the 25th. You have 39 days to get through this list!
These movies will start popping up on all available channels, keep an eye out on DSTV, Netflix, Showmax and whichever other services you use. A quick search (type in Christmas) on your selected platform will bring up all the Christmassy goodness you need!
