CLAW’s food supplies are running low, so they have turned to social media to ask people to please assist by donating pet food this weekend.
Johannesburg, South Africa (16 April 2021) – CLAW (Community Led Animal Welfare) has been phenomenal in caring for animals during the pandemic. People lost incomes and had to focus on the day to day meals, animal needs became a second priority, but at CLAW, they made sure to get food into the most desperate communities.
The organisation recently did a check on their food supplies and found them to be very low. Lower than expected!
The team have launched a food drive in the hopes of building up their stocks so they can continue to provide food to animals in the poorest communities.
They are asking for food donations; this can be tinned food or packet food, large breed or small breed, cat food or dog food, puppy or kitten, or all of the above if you are able. Any bit will help them cover the needs of their animals.
“Please help us, our dog food store is running terribly low… If you can help with a delivery directly to CLAW that would be incredible.
Alternatively, we have drop-off points in North Riding, Weltevredenpark, Northcliff and Centurion.
Please contact Michelle on 0833953011 if you would like to deliver to one of these drop-off points.
We would appreciate any help we can get”
As for brand preferences, they are happy to accept standard store brands like Pedigree and Bobtail. If you wish to purchase something more specialised, they welcome the brand Montego as well, but at the moment, whatever you are able to get to them will be a blessing.
You can deliver food items yourself or take advantage of the several online stores in South Africa that can deliver to the CLAW offices or drop-off points; please reach out for the relevant addresses. You can reach out to the team via the contact number mentioned above, or you can pop them a message via Facebook here.
