Elvis Blue, season 6 Idols winner tweeted the Springboks a few weeks ago asking to sing the National Anthem, today his dream comes true.
Elvis Blue won Idols season 6 in 2010. He was a firm favourite throughout the competition, winning the hearts of the country with his talented voice. He is a self-taught musician, at age 16 he picked up a guitar and started writing his own music.
In June he tweeted the Springboks telling them that if they ever needed someone to perform the National Anthem, he was the guy for the job. Not only would it be the greatest honour for him to do this, he said he would also travel anywhere in the world at his own expense to do it.
Dear @Springboks If ever you have no one to sing our anthem again. Please know that it will be the greatest honor for me. I will fly anywhere in the world at my own expense to do it and I will sing it with passion.😁😁
