The Empangeni High School Choir has been working hard to put on stunning performances for the parents and loved ones at the school; the performance of Quando Corpus Morietur is world-class!

Empangeni, South Africa (28 June 2022) Empangeni High School is in full preparation for its 65th school reunion, coming up in August this year. One of the highlights at the school today is the large choir that has an unbelievable talent to share.

We were recently sent the video of their performance of the Quando Corpus Morietur, a Latin poem that explores what the Virgin Mary felt as she watched her son Jesus up on the cross. The song is a classic and one often performed by the world’s most famous choirs and opera houses.

One of our favourite stories to share is a choir performance. This performance had us in awe for the entire 5 minutes.

The solo performers outdid themselves and, with the support of the entire choir, gave a performance that can be called world-class!

They gave the performance to a school hall filled with adoring parents and loved ones. By the end, the crowd gave a standing ovation and cries of sheer jubilation.

This is one of a few performances put on by the choir on this day; you can see more on the Facebook page here. The school also hosted the choir from the Aquadene Secondary School, which gave two beautiful performances as well.
