This festive season, FoodForward’s dedicated team is going the extra mile to provide ample food supplies to their network of over 2,500 beneficiary organisations, ensuring that vulnerable individuals, from children to the elderly, have access to nutritious meals.

South Africa (09 December 2024) – As many young people look forward to kicking back and relaxing this holiday season after a long academic year, countless others face a much less exciting time. For many children, school feeding programmes are crucial, providing them with nutritious and filling meals during the day.

FoodForward SA reiterates that the school holidays can be a challenging time for many children, as they may have limited access to healthy food with schools and many businesses closing.

This festive season, FoodForward’s dedicated food heroes are going the extra mile to provide ample food supplies at over 2,500 beneficiary organisations across the country and will continue to look after vulnerable communities, from children to the elderly.

“Our dedicated warehouse staff is working extra hard to ensure that these organisations have enough food to carry them through the festive season, making sure that no one goes hungry,” FoodForward said.

FoodForward’s incredible mission connects a world of excess to a world of need. By recovering surplus food from the supply chain and distributing it to community organisations, they ensure that many in need have access to nutritious meals.

Touching lives and making a meaningful difference are endeavours we’re always inspired to commend and celebrate. It is so heartwarming to know that many less fortunate children and families can rest assured that their cupboards will be filled with enough to see them through the festive season thanks to the tireless efforts of real-life angels from remarkable organisations like FoodForward SA.
