United Kingdom (10 November 2020) – Disney have just released their Christmas Advert for 2020, and it’s a beautiful heartwarming ode to family, love, and tradition.
While times change and people grow, beloved family traditions make lifelong memories that cross generations and hold us together, especially over the festive period.
Lola and her granddaughter share a love of Disney and Christmas crafting, but over time their yearly ritual of making star lanterns begins to fade away.
“A parol is an ornamental, star-shaped Christmas lantern from the Philippines. The design of the parol evokes the Star of Bethlehem that guided the Three Kings to the manger. It also symbolizes the victory of light over darkness and the Filipinos’ hope and goodwill during the Christmas season.”
Looking back into Lola’s past and seeing her grandmother’s much-loved Mickey Mouse inspires her granddaughter to create a festive surprise that lights up her Christmas morning and renews their special bond.

Griff, real name Sarah Griffiths, is a 19-year-old singer and songwriter, from Hertfordshire, England. She chose to go by the name Griff as she said that her real name sounds mundane and unglamorous – her stage name sounds way more unique! The young artist is half Jamaican and half Chinese and has been juggling school with her music career for the last two years.
