When you were in school, did you know what job you wanted to do? Or were you confused about what options you had? The World of Work Festival is coming to Cape Town and Durban to help learners decide.

South Africa (21 May 2023) – The World of Work Career Festival has been established by the social enterprise FutureMe, to help grade 10s and 11s, figure out what their next step is as well as access career opportunities.

FutureMe believes in connecting young people to the world of work. Through various skills and development programmes, they’re working alongside companies who believe in investing in the young people of South Africa, so that they are prepared with the necessary skills to enter the workforce.

“Through our series of skills and development programmes, we’re bridging the gap between the youth of South Africa and the employment Sector. As the future of business, our programmes are designed to provide them with the skills and resources they need to succeed once they enter the workforce.”

Not only does FutureMe work with potential employees for big businesses, but they create opportunities for school leavers to explore future work. This is done through the World of Work Career Festival, which was a huge success in 2022 and is back in 2023!
