Strength, courage, and resiliency – these are words synonymous with South Africans, but they are also what the colour gold symbolises and in fighting cancer, they are exactly what is needed!

South Africa (01 September 2022) – Internationally, childhood cancer recovery statistics stand at around 90% currently, in South Africa, it is approximately 55%, but even this number is on the rise, thankfully. The CHOC Childhood Cancer Foundation SA explains that there is so much hope, though, we just need to raise some awareness and catch childhood cancers much sooner, and this is how…

This September, for International Childhood Cancer Awareness Month, CHOC is encouraging South Africans to go gold. GOLD is the colour of strength, courage, and resiliency. To wear the CHOC gold ribbon, use the brand new filters on CHOC social media and promote awareness around the early detection of childhood cancer.

In terms of cancer, the earlier the diagnosis, the better chance to fight it!
