Actors Glen Powell, Topher Grace and Jessica Henwick shared their love for South Africa’s scenery, wildlife and even a few local words during a chat with 5FM’s Nadia Romanos.
South Africa (06 March 2026) – It turns out filming a movie in South Africa comes with a few perks. The breathtaking views, unforgettable wildlife and, of course, learning a little local slang. That seemed to be the case for the cast of How to Make a Killing, who couldn’t help but gush about their time filming in Cape Town.
During a chat with 5FM presenter Nadia Romanos, actors Glen Powell, Topher Grace and Jessica Henwick shared a few memorable moments from their time in South Africa.
Glen didn’t hesitate when asked about his experience in the country.
“South Africa’s gorgeous.”
One landmark in particular that clearly left an impression was Table Mountain.
Beyond the iconic mountain, the cast also remembered some of Cape Town’s other well-known sights. The case spoke about the Muizenberg Beach Huts.
The wildlife also made its way onto the list of highlights.
Of course, no trip to South Africa is complete without picking up a few local phrases. Something the cast seemed to enjoy just as much as the scenery.
How to Make a Killing, a dark comedy filmed in South Africa, made use of Cape Town’s striking locations while also tapping into local production crews and talent to bring the story to life.
And judging by the cast’s enthusiasm, it left them with memories and a few proudly South African words to take back with them.
