The Home of Hope charity shop helps the organisation cover costs at the home; they sent out a plea for donations of pre-loved items so they can restock the shop.
Cape Town, South Africa (27 June 2022) – Home of Hope works to protect and house vulnerable children in the Table View area. The home offers a safe haven for children, and staff work tirelessly to make sure none of the children goes without.
Home of Hope is a non-profit organisation that cares for abused and abandoned children in South Africa, especially those suffering from Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorders (FASD) – permanent brain damage caused by prenatal exposure to alcohol.
As times are getting tougher, even organisations like Home of Hope feel the pinch. The organisation always welcomes donations that keep their costs down. To generate an income, the organisation launched a charity shop where they sell pre-loved goods to the public.
They welcome the public to shop at the charity shop or to donate good quality pre-loved items. The organisation sent out a social media plea to ask for donations of items so they can restock the charity shop.
“Turn your unwanted goods into someone else’s treasure. What you no longer need or want, we will gladly accept. Our charity shop is in need of more donations and you can help.
By donating, you are not simply giving to charity, YOU ARE MAKING A DIFFERENCE and DIRECTLY MAKING AN IMPACT on our children.
The proceeds made in our charity shop go directly towards the care of our children and young adults with special needs, who have no one to fight for them but us.
Drop off at 215 Blaauwberg Road, Table View, Monday to Friday 09:00-16:00 and Saturday 09:00-13:00. Whatsapp us to arrange collection for large quantities or furniture.”
