The 15th of May is the International Day of Families, and you can celebrate with your family by camping in the garden and donating to the Reach for a Dream Foundation.

South Africa (15 May 2020) – The UN named the 15th of May International Day of Families in 1993 because of the vital role that family plays in proper development. The day is celebrated annually, and this year, you can celebrate your family by helping another.

The Reach for a Dream Foundation’s mission is to encourage children to use their dreams to fight life-threatening illnesses and inspire hope. Reach for a Dream believes in dreams. They seek as far as possible to make the dreams of children come true.

Family plays an essential role in the Foundation’s work. They hope to use the important day to raise much-needed funding to continue supporting young dreamers fighting the most significant battles. They are inviting families to join them by camping at home.

“To celebrate World Family Day, we invite the whole family to share in our exciting Family Campout and Fundraiser event on Friday, 15th May.

Get involved in this fun-filled family day by camping with your family in your garden, back yard or lounge. Pitch your tent or create a fort in your lounge and send us your pics tagging Reach For A Dream. Stand a chance to win spot prizes (which will be sent to you after lockdown).
