It’s the most wonderful time of the year, when people feel generous, and kindness is plentiful. We have 25 acts of kindness you can do each day as we celebrate the festive season.
South Africa (28 November 2025) – If there’s one thing this country knows how to do well, it’s carry each other through the messy bits with a smile, a quick joke, or a helping hand. And after a year that felt like a mash-up of plot twists, maybe we all deserve a December that leans into the good.
So this year, instead of only counting down to Christmas or a much-needed break, we’re counting kindness. Twenty-five small, human moments that make someone’s day a little brighter, and, let’s be honest, give you that warm, fizzy feeling too. We have done 31 days in the past, so if you would like to do more, check that advent here.
It’s simple. It’s joyful. It’s achievable even on the days you’re running on fumes. And you don’t have to follow it in order… unless you really want to.
Here’s your 2025 Kindness Advent, a tiny act for every day leading up to Christmas, designed to uplift your community, reconnect you to the people around you, and remind us all that good things don’t always need fireworks.
Sometimes they look like a shared meal, a kind word, or simply stopping long enough to greet someone with genuine warmth.
And because December is full of movement, chaos and sunburn, feel free to choose the right act for the right day. There’s no perfection needed here, just intention.

Kindness is contagious. It shifts moods, creates momentum, and reminds people that they’re seen. And in a world that often feels loud and overwhelming, small kindnesses cut through the noise beautifully. They’re grounding. They’re human. And they ripple further than you think.
So here’s to a December that feels softer. To the tiny good things that lighten heavy days. And to the countless South Africans making magic in ordinary moments.
