It’s getting colder, and the Kindness Like Confetti team is calling upon knitters, crocheters, and crafting enthusiasts of all levels to create handmade beanies for those who will need all the warmth they can get this winter.
Johannesburg, South Africa (28 April 2025) – Kindness comes in many different forms, shapes and sizes. We’re in the business of sharing all about it, and the Kindness Like Confetti charity is in the business of spreading it to those who need it most.
With winter around the corner, the KLC’s Joseph Jersey Project is calling all knitters, crocheters, crafters, and even enthusiastic beginners to join its Beanie Drive!
“We’re on a mission to make as many warm, handmade beanies as possible for children and adults in need this winter,” KLC says.
It’s one of the many ways the organisation extends kindness and compassion to those without much to see them through the colder season.
Something as simple as a knitted beanie offered to someone less fortunate or going through a tough time can offer both warmth and a comforting reminder that they are not alone in facing the challenges of the cold season.
“Whether you can make one or a dozen, every stitch counts.”
“We’re also collecting wool, needles, or even donations to help others make magic with their hands.”
Even if you haven’t tried knitting before, this could be the perfect reason to learn, and you have a trusted team to cheer you on all the way!
