LifeLine is making sure that those who need them can still reach out during the lockdown by taking their counsellors online using Skype.
Western Cape, South Africa (06 April 2020) – As we enter the second week of lockdown in South Africa, it is clear that many people are struggling to cope.
If you find yourself struggling, you are not alone! LifeLine Western Cape has moved its services to a digital space so that people can still access support.
Anxiety, fear and loneliness are issues that the team of counsellors at LifeLine Western Cape deal with on a daily basis, something that has been heightened more than tenfold since the COVID-19 lockdown took effect in South African.
Concerned for the welfare of citizens of South Africa, LifeLine WC has worked tirelessly to ensure a solution to not only keeping their counsellors safe during the lockdown but also to be able to help those who need it most during this fearful time.
With not being able to forward the large call volume that LifeLine WC experiences on a daily basis to a single cell phone during the lockdown period, the team have set up a skype line that will allow multiple calls to still reach the counsellors.
So how do you contact a LifeLine Western Cape counsellors via Skype?
All you need to do is ensure that you have Skype downloaded as an app on your phone, then simply visit the LifeLine Western Cape website and click on the “call us” button. You will be directly transferred to an available counsellor.
