Must Watch: Music video links 30 celebs for climate change! lil dicky earth music video

From Ariana Grande to Ed Sheeran, Leonardo DiCaprio and even Sia… celebrities rally together to create a (hilarious) song for the “Earth” where all proceeds will go to doing good!

Global – Lil Dicky has just unveiled a star-studded, not-safe-for-work animated music video for his charity single “Earth”!

Lil Dicky, originally known as David Andrew Burd is an American rapper and comedian who came to prominence with the release of the music video of his song “Ex-Boyfriend”, which went viral with more than one million views on YouTube in 24 hours.

His latest video garnered over 10 million views in just 24 hours and is raising critical awareness for climate change in the process!

“The Earth needs our help. If we don’t make massive changes to our behaviour over the next twelve years, the damage we’ve done to this planet will be irreversible. Oceans will be destroyed, super storms will become even more super, cities will flood, the air will suck, and we’ll run out of food and energy. And not in a couple of hundred years either, scientists say it’s right around the corner. But the power to prevent this is in our hands! We can save the Earth!!!”

The new music video features the voices of 30 celebrities, including Justin Bieber, Ariana Grande, Shawn Mendes, Halsey, Katy Perry, Ed Sheeran, Leonardo DiCaprio and Miley Cyrus, among others. Each celebrity, excluding DiCaprio, Kevin Hart, Meghan Trainor, Joel Embiid, and Tory Lanez, represents a different type of animal or plant.

Bieber portrays a baboon, Halsey a lion cub and Grande a zebra, while Sheeran portrays a koala bear, Mendes a rhino Perry a pony and Hart plays Kanye West.

All proceeds from the song will be donated to the Leonardo DiCaprio Foundation.

I am #ProudlySouthAfrican, & with our diverse collection of different cultures & languages especially which at this late stage of my life I’ve come to slowly but surely learn(and am still learning), I have come to learn one important word, & that is “Ubuntu”, which translated to English means “Togetherness”, has had a very large impact on & in my daily life, which I forever will be grateful for! I’ve learnt to incorporate it into my everday-life at my workplace; as I meet & greet old & new faces along my way travelling to & from work; inside the bus I travel with other passengers also on their way & from their workplaces & not forgetting the different shops with their owners & staff alike I go to. A greeting with a smile is all it takes to make someone elses day that much more positive & knowing that I put a smile on someone elses face makes me feel so much more in tune with what we all can achieve & maybe, just maybe we will do away with all conflict with each other on a larger scale across the world & rid this Earth, Our Earth, of that destructive force called “war!” #ThisIsMyEarth #ILoveThisEarth #AllItTakesIsASmile 🙂 #ShwakaLove <3

What a sad wasted opportunity to circulate a brilliant message. This clip cost a small fortune to make, and yet it is ruined by profanity and obscenity. It’s the kids that need to get this message, but this clip is not fit for kids. I won’t be sharing this. What a pity.
