The community of Noordhoek was challenged to think “Out the Box” while painting on 40x40cm canvas, using the local things that inspire them most.

Noordhoek, South Africa (28 March 2023) – The community of Noordhoek has been inspired to paint. The local art gallery is hosting an open exhibition; both professional and amateur artists were invited to think “Out the Box”.

The gallery set the theme of Local and invited community members to paint on square canvas, the local images that inspire them most.

“Art is too important not to share.” – Romero Britto

Celebrate local creativity and diversity during the Out the Box open exhibition at Noordhoek Art Point. From Sunday, 2 April, more than 100 works of both experienced and amateur artists will be proudly on display in the centre of this barn-style gallery.

“Art is a universal language that can be expressed by anyone with a passion for it,” says Aimee Kruger, founder of Noordhoek Art Point. “It has the power to bring people together, to inspire and to move us.”

This year’s theme was “local” and simply encouraged participants to tap into all the inspiration we have around us in this beautiful country.

Artworks are available for purchase, so not only will you be able to enjoy the art on display, but you can buy your favourites to hang in your own home. Who’s to say you aren’t investing in a future Van Gogh? At the very least, your support will be greatly appreciated by the artist.

“Our hope is that this exhibition will not only provide a platform for artists to showcase their work, but also inspire others to explore their own creativity and pursue their passions. We believe that the more we can support and encourage one another, the more we can build a stronger and more vibrant artistic community.”

Pop into the gallery between 2 and 30 April and feast your eyes on the variety of vibrant creativity on display – all contained within 40x40cm.

Noordhoek Art Point is located at 16 Noordhoek Main Rd, Sunnydale, Cape Town, 7975. Google Maps link: https://goo.gl/maps/jwRAh9RfY8AhtvPTA
