A video that cost less than R1000 to make, is taking the internet by storm and warming the hearts of millions of people, take a look…

The UK has created a culture during the festive season of sharing adverts tailored to pull at heart strings. Lately, they have been under fire though, because many feel the amount of money spent on these adverts is a little excessive with so many struggling to make ends meet.

It is this reason that the powerful production by Phil Beastall has gone viral. People are connecting with it on a deeper level because of its heartfelt message, that love is truly the greatest gift.

The entire production cost £50.00 in total, confirming that you do not need to spend millions on creating something truly moving. The video was made as a Christmas film back in 2014. He chose to share it online because of all the lash-back about the Elton John advert shared by John Lewis, a UK department store.

“I love making films and telling stories and I decided back in 2014 I wanted to create a short film that would resonate with people,

“Ultimately I wanted people to take a moment to realize how lucky we are to be here and remind themselves that although life can be really tough, we’re not defined by our careers or materialism. Family comes first and it’s important we look after each other. So although it’s not a true story, it’s one I hope hits home.”

“The reaction has blown me away. Seeing as it didn’t really go very far in 2014, I presumed the same would happen this year. But within a few days, we were into the millions of views. I have received so many positive comments from people saying how beautiful they think the film is. Its been shared over 150,000 times and it’s that stat that means the most to me. The fact that people are taking the time to not only watch my film but share it with their friends and family. I’ve been making videos and films for over 10 years and I would love to partner with leading brands to help tell their story with emotive films.”

And it did hit home! Many people called their parents and loved ones, just to remind them that they are loved, before it is too late.

“Love is a gift, that lasts forever”
