The Mafikeng SPCA will be launching their own charity shop on the 17th of August, which will help raise funds for the valued work they do for the community.
Mafikeng, South Africa (15 August 2024) — The Mafikeng SPCA is getting excited about the launch of its charity shop over the weekend. They are rallying the community to attend the opening or send in donations for them to sell.
Charity shops are our favourite kinds of shops which is why we have a list dedicated to them and regularly feature those that are needing some extra help.
Many charities fund themselves by having a charity shop on the premises which sells second-hand items and sometimes even new items. These little shops are treasure troves filled with hidden gems and secret finds at prices that would make your purse stay flush!
Charity shops are a great asset to society because they offer a resource to find affordable alternatives while giving back. They are a great option for people who have stepped away from fast fashion retailers and need a good source of clothing to shop for. Bookworms who cannot afford the newest books can purchase bags full from a charity shop.
The Mafikeng SPCA charity shop will sell goods to raise funds for their animal welfare work. They are in need of good quality donations to keep the shop stocked.
“If you have ANY donations for our shop it will be truly appreciated. It can be clothes, linen, ornaments, kitchen equipment, appliances, toys, books, cutlery and crockery, paintings, cd’s and dvd’s. Literally, anything that is still in good condition. We cannot do this without you.”
The charity shop also serves a community that needs it, offering fairly priced, quality goods where money is often tight. It is a win-win for everyone.
