Johannesburg, South Africa (03 March 2021) – Filmed 5 years ago, this incredible video is a reminder of what was… but more so, what could be again!

Miroslave Dufresne filmed “Bout d’un Monde” in 20 days, covering more than 4,500km while touring South Africa in 2016, but the video somehow seems more beautiful today.

From Cape Town to Jozi, to Simon’s town, Stellenbosch, Betty’s bay, Hout bay, Pearly Beach and the Tankwa Karoo desert for AfrikaBurn. This essay is about getting on the edge of the world.

“In my opinion, those cardinal points are the farthest a human can go; I’ve always been more about the land than water, animal than human. But as a human, or a dried fish (there’s a theory for that), I’ve decided to put myself into the cage and reverse the roles. I was the one locked up and watching the wilderness do his thing, and it felt pretty relevant. You realize that yes, you’re magnificent on the inside, but only because of that wildlife outside (I have a theory for that too).
