Having your beloved pet go missing can be heartbreaking which is what makes seeing animals reunited with the owners so emotionally moving.
Umhlanga, South Africa (21 July 2020) – When a pet goes missing, your heart feels like it has been ripped out and there is a hole left in your family. Over the years, we have shared some beautiful stories of animals being reunited with their owners.
We are currently watching the story of Harvey the missing French Bulldog closely, hoping he too is found and returned home soon. If you hear of anything that could help the family find Harvey, you can reach out via Facebook here.
The Ridge Vet and Pet Spa shared a moving image of missing Sheru being reunited with his mom after being found 8km away from home. Sheru had been missing for 6 days.
The vet shared the image to highlight two causes, the first being the importance of the microchip and the second, sharing the missing posters of animals to help raise awareness.
“This is a photo of an owner reunited with her dog that went missing on Monday, 13 July 2020 and was found Saturday, 18 July 2020.
Sheru was found nearly 8km from his home… So next time you scroll past the “annoying” missing pet post, remember this pic, this is the difference you can make by just clicking the share button.”
So, next time you see a missing poster, your share could be the one that connects the family with their pet. This photo really moved us and we will definitely share the next missing poster that pops up on Facebook.
