The Capital Singers along with an Orchestra put on a magical Disney performance called “Fantasia”. For the encore a young lady went on stage and sang.

Over the weekend at the Pretoria State Theatre a magical performance was given by Johnathan Roxmouth, the Capital Singers and an Orchestra. The show focused on the magical musical numbers from Disney movies.

The Capital Singers, a choir of around 651 people along with the Orchestra and Johnathan planned an encore song which was meant to be “When you wish upon a star”. Johnathan had connected with a young girl in the audience during the performance.

She had managed to let him know she wished to join him on stage to sing along. However she had a specific song in mind.

“As you can see in the YouTube video she gave her request of what she would like to sing…. And he, together with the conductor Michael Barrett, made this happen in the most amazing change of plan! Imagine getting an orchestra and 651 singers to change their plan on the fly!”

“He pulled Abigael onto the stage and she sang for the sold out State Theatre with this amazing choir backing her up – there was not a dry eye in the place! Really a magical experience not only for Abigael but for everyone else as well!” – Belinda Taylor

After the show Abi’s mother took to Facebook to thank Jonathan for his generosity in letting Abi live out her dream!

My husband and I (and our daughter Abigael) would like to thank you from the bottom of our hearts for your sincere kindness and love in letting Abi sing on stage with you last night at the Pretoria State Theatre.

You have no idea what it meant to her. On leaving tonight she said “Mamma een van my groot drome het vanaand waar geword!”

This is such a sweet story. You can watch the video below.
