Pink soars to No.1 with What About Us single and Beautiful Trauma album ahead of October 13 release.

Pink launched her 7th studio album on the 10th August with a soaring protest song called “What About Us.”

Co-written with Johnny McDaid of Snow Patrol and Steve Mac (he also produced it), the pop/rocker’s latest is the most 2017 song imaginable.

From the chorus, which poses a series of questions no one can answer, to the very on-trend acoustic/electronic hybrid production, this is basically a snapshot of the here and now. It’s political without being obnoxious, pissed off and ultimately, a call to action.

“What about us? What about all the times you said you had the answers?” Pink asks on the chorus. “What about us? What about all the broken happy ever afters?”

While the singer has released a handful of singles and collaborations, the album, due on 13th October, is her first in more than five years.
