Tayla Schaffner is a born and bred South African making a name for herself as an actress, her talent is undeniable having already won multiple awards!

 

Tayla Schaffner is destined to be South Africa’s next big Hollywood success! At just 21 she has already racked up a pretty list of awards. Her talent is evident in her 2017 showreel where she does a variety of different performances.

Tayla started her acting career nearly 10 years ago when she joined her schools drama department. From there she grew from strength to strength and at 18 made the jump over to international waters. She enrolled at the New York Film Academy.

She has been at the film school for just over 2 and a half years, in that time she has been cast into student films a staggering 17 times!

As part of her final thesis Tayla wrote, produced and starred in the film ‘When It Rains’ which has won 6 awards of the 8 it was nominated for. Here is a short summary of the movie:

A young girl is burdened with the news that her cancer has returned for the second time. Does she succumb to her fathers rules once more or does she stand up to her father and create her own identity and take her fate into her own hands with her decision on treatment.
