Registration for Santa Shoebox Beneficiaries has opened so if you know of a creche, school or child welfare organisation in need, now is their chance!

South Africa (04 April 2024) – Santa Shoeboxes have brought joy to over 1.2 million children. The boxes filled with useful goodies for school and fun are handed out each year, giving children in need a splash of festive cheer! The Santa Shoebox Project has officially opened registration for new beneficiaries to apply.

Registration runs from April 2nd to April 25th, 2024. If you know of an organisation that would benefit from having their children included in this year’s pledges, be sure to share this with them.

“Calling all caregivers, educators, and school leaders! The #SantaShoebox Project applications are now OPEN for facilities to receive personalised shoeboxes packed with love for the children in their care.

If you’re passionate about spreading joy and hope this holiday season, seize this opportunity to become a beneficiary! Don’t miss out – apply TODAY to make a meaningful impact. Applications close on April 25th.” – Santa Shoebox Project

How to apply to receive Shoeboxes for the children in your care:

  1. Login (or register) here, using the same email address or cell phone number you used previously
  2. If you’ve forgotten your password, select Forgot Password
  3. If you do not yet have an online profile with Santa Shoebox (SSP), instead select Register Here
  4. Complete the Application Form – you are able to make changes
  5. When all 5 steps of the Application Form are complete, select Submit – no further changes will be possible
  6. Incomplete applications will not be considered
  7. All applications are assessed against several criteria and SSP representatives may ask for additional information
  8. An application is not a guarantee that the children in your care will receive Santa Shoeboxes
  9. The Project receives applications for more than three times the number of Shoeboxes than it is able to distribute
  10. By mid-June you will receive an SMS confirming whether your application has been successful

The Santa Shoebox brings joy to children (and the people who make and fill the boxes) every year! If you do not need to register as a beneficiary, maybe volunteering is more your speed. You can find all the info for becoming a volunteer here. Or if you are just keen to fill a box or two this year, you can start now using this helpful action plan.
