An award-winning foreign language short teaches us all to be a little kinder because we never know what someone else is going through.

Global (28 June 2021) – John Watson got it right by saying, “Be kind; everyone you meet is fighting a hard battle”. In the way the world currently is, there are so many more people struggling than ever before. The only way to live life these days is to lead with kindness.

That message is brought home by a foreign award-winning short. The short, called “Sorry”, is about a young boy that is late for school. His teacher smacks him and sends him to his desk to start his school work.

This same thing happens day after day; each day, the teacher cannot understand why the boy is late. He says nothing; he only waits to go sit and start his day.

After several days, the teacher, by chance, is riding his bicycle to school on a different route. He sees the boy and finally realises why he is always late. We won’t spoil it for you, but it is a very touching moment.

Once realising his mistake, the teacher asks for forgiveness and sends the boy to his desk to start his school work.

There are so many quotes about kindness, and they all ring true! So, “if you can be anything, be kind!”.

Take a look at the moving short below.
