South Africa (25 September 2020) – Ster-Kinekor Theatres reopens ALL sites and is ready to Go Big Again with a line-up of big-screen movies for everyone!

Nothing beats the experience of sinking into a comfy cinema seat, a large popcorn & soda on your lap, your BFF at your side and, as the lights go down, the big screen lights up with the latest, greatest blockbuster movies with impossibly perfect film stars lighting up the screen. All Ster- Kinekor cinemas are now open nationwide and are excited to welcome our loyal guests back to the big screen experience!

Audiences have been having their minds bent with the Christopher Nolan crime thriller Tenet at IMAX cinemas, Disney’s live-action Mulan is currently wowing audiences at Ster-Kinekor cinemas and buckle your seatbelts, as Russell Crowe shows his darker side in Unhinged!

Ster-Kinekor is spoiling the kids this September – round up the whole family and enjoy the animated fun of Trolls: World Tour from 18th September and, celebrate Heritage Day on Thursday 24th September with the family-fun adventure Scoob!

K-Pop sensation Burn the Stage is back on the big screen. Travel with BTS throughout the tour and see another side of the boy band as they tell candid personal stories they’ve never voiced before. BTS: Break the Silence releases at select Ster-Kinekor cinemas from Thursday 24th September.

The slick, sublime Death on the Nile (the sequel to Murder on the Orient Express) will be intriguing audiences with the latest whodunnit. It’s up to Hercule Poirot, played with panache by Kenneth Branagh and featuring a cast `to die for’ to single out the killer. And, for the adrenaline junkies, the Gerard Butler end-of-the-world action movie about a meteor heading for Earth, Greenland `hits’ Ster-Kinekor cinemas. Both these movies will be releasing at Ster-Kinekor in October.

And, the must-see movie of the year, No Time To Die releases in IMAX at Ster-Kinekor cinemas everywhere this November. Catch Daniel Craig in his last role as the suave James Bond and Oscar winner, Rami Malek as the evil Safin.

Ster-Kinekor has your December sorted! There’s a movie for everyone – from Croods 2 for the kids, West Side Story and Dune for the movie aficionados, gorgeous Gal Gadot is back in the much-anticipated Wonder Woman 1984 for the superhero fans, and the irreverent comedy Free Guy with Ryan Reynolds and Eddie Murphy is back in Coming to America 2 for outrageous laughs!

Now that Ster-Kinekor has filled your calendar for the rest of the year, start marking off those movie dates and #goBIGagain.
