This week, Brent chats to Taffia Keight – Owner & Director at Whacked Entertainment Management – about the revival of the Cape Town Comedy Festival… and more.
Johannesburg, South Africa (25 February 2020) – Taffia Keight comes from an operational background in a large telecommunications company. Being one of their founder members of Whacked, she’s not new to coming on board at the very beginning of significant new initiatives.
She then left her excellent management position at MTN to take a massive pay cut and bleak prospects in terms of share options in a small comedy business. She helped build the company from a small one-person operation to the industry leader it is today.
Taffia has worked in every aspect of the company, from putting up posters at festivals to running AV and negotiating sizeable brand endorsement deals.
Now, 100% owner of Whacked Management, Taffia shares her journey, as well as her new venture in the revival of the Cape Town Comedy Festival, with Brent Lindeque on this week’s Jacpod.
