Volunteer Bus

Better SA are calling themselves the Uber for volunteers! The volunteer bus is offering a hop on, hop off service to those wanting to go volunteer.

Better SA was started so that the public would have a platform in which to interact with charities and other organisations. The organisation could see the need for volunteers on the charity side and see the desire of the public to do charity work. Better SA decided to become the middle man, so to speak.

Better SA fully facilitates all volunteer experiences to ensure volunteers, and the recipients of their time and skill, get the most out of the experience.

Thanks to Better SA and its first of its kind hop on hop off volunteer bus service, the only requirement from volunteers is to arrive at one of our bus hubs, and Better SA will do the rest.

Currently the hop on, hop off service is only available in Johannesburg but Better SA plans to make the initiative available nationwide.

By eliminating all barriers to volunteering, Better SA hopes to unlock the potential of tens of thousands of volunteers thus trigger a volunteering revolution and movement.

The bus service leaves 9am every Saturday morning. It operates 50 Saturdays of the year. The bus hub locations are listed on their website, check the link below.

Our team leaders will meet you at each bus and will fully brief you on the area and organisation you will be visiting as well as the volunteer activity you will be participating in.
