A University of KwaZulu-Natal graduate made headlines earlier this week for her catwalk strut while receiving her qualification. We have an update on all her hopes and dreams for the future
A video went viral in a matter of minutes this past Monday. It was of a sassy University student receiving her hard-earned qualification. We wanted to see what it was all about and have since decided that the young woman in question, is possibly the smartest person ever!
Chrysantha Alicia Palan is the graduate from the video and her sassy strut has made her famous! Considering this bright student has just graduated cum laude with an honour’s degree in Media and Culture Studies, this viral video could help her get her foot in all the right doors.
While the ‘Niomi Campbell-esque’ student has big career dreams, she has even more study goals for her ever brightening future. Chrysantha, who goes by Chrys on Facebook, plans to do her Masters and move to Joburg or Cape Town to work in Fashion Editing. She wants to do everything though, she doesnt want to be limited to just one thing and hopes to work in media, fashion and business.
She has since been dubbed the ‘Catwalk Graduate’ and is soaking up the limelight. And while she says the moment was purely spontanious, it was an act of pure genius because with everyone talking about her, she is bound to get a few enticing job offers along the way.
