Watch: South African creates hilarious video to teach Zuma a lesson in Censorship

Censorship

You can decide if this clip is #NSFW! Honestly speaking it may sound like its filled bad language but the point is censorship doesn’t tell a full story.

Over the last few days, we have seen news headline after news headline about banning the of a book and people have started speaking out about where the line is on censorship.

One of our very clever followers JM Henning contacted us to share a video he has created and hopes that it will teach President Zuma a lesson about censorship. He painstakingly sat through 5 hours or parliamentary footage to find the perfect clip for his censorship clip.

We asked him what his motivation behind the clip was and how long it took to create?

“I created it by listening to more than 5 hours worth of parliament proceedings. Then I just looked for phrases that could be ambiguous when a keyword is censored.”

“The motive behind it was to highlight the dangers of censorship – so the idea is that the clip should serve as an example to Mr Zuma that if you start censoring even a little the message could get lost completely” – JM Henning

The sound clip was cleverly put together so that the President sounds like a complete pottymouth. This is an actual speech that President Zuma has said however it wasn’t originally as explicit as this. These are his words… Take a listen (with earphones).

“With the government once again threatening to silence critics, making Zuma understand the dangers of censorship is more important than ever. I reckon this is the best way to do it” – JM Henning
