Perspective is everything… when you change the way you look at things, the things you look at change!

Johannesburg, South Africa (02 March 2022) – What was your biggest worry as you woke up this morning? Perhaps if you take stock of where you are, even while standing in doggy doo-doo, your perspective on life might just change.

For me, well… I woke to a massive highveld thunderstorm which meant the pups were not keen on going outside, and while walking into my office, I stepped in doggy doo-doo. Like, between the toes stuff. Sis. All of a sudden, my mood changed. I was so cross – what a way to start the day! But then I thought about it.

What is my biggest worry today? Like for reals?

I have a friend – who was in remission – who found out yesterday that his cancer is back. Another cannot find work and has run out of money for food; they were on top of their game two years ago. A close friend is also waiting to find out what is going on with them from the neurosurgeon. Someone else is going through a horrible break-up, and I have a friend who is so in the depths of depression that I’m not sure they’re going to find their way back.

More than that, people are getting ready to fight in a war, others leaving families behind to get to safety, human beings fleeing floods, and nations fearing for their lives.

Howz that for perspective?

Doggy-doo-doo. Really?

So my advice this morning is to check in with yourself – understand what you’re letting take hold of your happiness and if you can wash your feet, or step away from it, then do that to preserve your peace.

And then check in on all your people.

Send a quick message of love, kindness or even just appreciation to the people you love. Don’t be the reason anyone feels insecure today… be the reason everyone feels seen, heard and supported by the entire universe. Remember that you pour out what you are full of. And more than anything the way you see the world depends completely on how you look at it.

Oh, and always be kinder than necessary, because everyone is fighting some sort of battle that you know nothing about.

That’s it.

Okay. Love you. Bye.
