Gail Bennett, a South African following the Knysna Fires wrote a post which is giving so many hope.

Gail’s comment on an article on GoodThingsGuy is being shared far and wide, and inspiring others.

This is what she said…

This and many other stories have brought me to tears and yet fires hope for the human race and for South Africans at the same time.

Going through my cupboard I suddenly realised how much I have and how little I need. Making a donation seems so little when the need and devastation are so great, but when looking at the posts, how much can be accomplished.

Negativity comes from a few, how beautiful South Africans are when we stand together. We share the stories of heroes who came in every form. Shining in the light of a tragedy but by goodness they are shining without race, religon or nationality.

Just humans doing extraordinary things.

My heart goes out to friends, family and strangers alike who have lost loved ones, homes and lively hoods. Our landscape is forever changed and may that change forever remind us of the goodness within and the posibilities we hold.

Love and strength
