Because not all heroes wear capes and these JMPD officers need to be celebrated!
Johannesburg, South Africa (8 February 2020) – In the middle of the day, in the middle of the city, two Johannesburg Metro Police Department (JMPD) officers quietly helped an older lady with a walker across a busy road.
And restored our faith in what often feels like a very broken system.
Usually, stories of our South African Police Officers trend on social media for all the wrong reasons, but this video is a beautiful reminder that there are really good South Africans who work in our police force who need to be celebrated.
In the video, the two officers can be seen walking the elderly lady across a busy intersection to safety.
