Karen Zoid

Karen Zoid decided to do a Facebook Live session in which she did a tribute cover of Linkin Park’s ‘Crawling’ and spoke about understanding depression.

Shortly after the announcement of the death of Chester Bennington, Karen Zoid decided to do a tribute to fans feeling the loss. She sang ‘Crawling’ by Linkin Park and did the song some major justice.

She starts the performance at around 1:36 minutes and it actually gave us chills. After the song, Karen encouraged everyone watching the live session to reach out if they were in a dark place.

The fans watching the live session thanked Karen for her words, many of whom said she had helped them at that very moment.

“Just a little tribute to all the Linkin Park fans out there feeling sad and just a general message to anybody out there and to any of my fans on the page who are feeling a little down”

‘We are here, please if you are feeling down, reach out! Reach out to your friends.”, “Call helpline”, “There are organisations that can help, there are people who want to help”

The reason Karen Zoid decided to discuss the topic of depression and suicide was because of all the jokes and laughing that people were doing. She believes their behaviour is destructive to how people view depression. She encourages everyone to have hope and to remain kind and loving.

“There is always space for love and kindness in this world”
