saffas

Since winning the Rugby World Cup, there have been a few people inciting hate and division in South, Africa but Saffas showed them just how united SA really is!

Johannesburg, South Africa – In the days that followed our world championship win, a select few people took the time to disseminate hate and encourage continued division in South Africa. Through the use of social media, these well-known public figures took the time to spread their own ideas and attempted to push the racial divide in South Africa.

Thankfully, these individuals were pretty alone in their thoughts! Thousands of people stood up to them, insisting that the unity from the World Cup win would remain. They also said there was no space for negativity at this time.

As a country, South Africans have pulled together like never before. This win has created bonds and friendships that will remain for many years to come. Even though South Africa is riddled with racial divides and other political problems, we cannot deny it; however, people have put that aside to celebrate.

Social media has been flooded with examples of just how we are stronger together! Take a look at one of our favourite videos below. It was filmed during the Springboks homecoming.

The message is clear, negativity can be spread but it won’t affect those celebrating with their fellow saffas! If you check out the comments on this post alone, you will see the true rainbow nation.
