While South Africa was busy standing together against the current structure of Government, the world was watching and were standing in solidarity with us!

Thousands of protesters demanding the resignation of President Jacob Zuma took to the streets in pickets, marches and human chains across South Africa on Friday, 7th April 2017.

Many were protesting for the first time ever in civil action sparked by Zuma’s Cabinet reshuffle, which saw the finance minister Pravin Gordhan and his deputy Mcebisi Jonas fired. The rand fell against the US dollar and S&P and Fitch downgraded the country’s credit ratings to “junk status”.

But South Africa was not alone in their marches!

People from all over the world joined the cause, sharing their posts on social media to show us that we are not alone in the fight for a better country.

From London and New York to Germany and everywhere in between.
