Times Media have released a video which is quickly gaining traction of the President of South Africa sleeping during the budget speech.
As Finance Minister Pravin Gordhan delivered a sober message in Parliament on Wednesday during SA’s 20th medium-term budget policy statement‚ Parliament cameras caught the president of the South Africa sleeping.
An hour and 14 minutes into Gordhan’s speech, Parliament’s cameras caught President Jacob Zuma sleeping. Times Media released the video (posted below) showcasing that exact moment.
Twitter reacted accordingly:
I think the fact that President Zuma sleeps on the job is proof he is a good man because they say no rest for the wicked #amirite

Nice to know how important the state of the country is to Zuma. Or is it all those late nights blocking that report?

If Zuma can sleep whilst an important mid term budget speech is read, why should other Ministers and MPs not sleep while on duty? pic.twitter.com/lbrwt54lcs
