A 13-year-old who lost his entire family has been taken in by a conservation filmmaker who is looking after and mentoring him.

KwaZulu, Natal, South Africa (21 May 2022) – Zian Coetzia tragically lost his parents, his grandmother and his brother but was taken in by Ryan Davy – a conservationist and filmmaker – who is helping the young man find direction in life.

Davy met the 13-year-old when Coetzia joined BOEAP – an outreach volunteer program founded by Davy, equipping young South Africans with the skills to start a career in conservation.

Davy says that the inspirational young man has a gift for turning the worst situations into positive adventures and that he feels so lucky to have Coetzia in his life.

And their story is giving us all the feels!

“Ryan you are “super special” What an influence you will be in this young boy’s life…a life changing experience for both of you. Love it.” Shirley Bakker

This little boy, Zian, has recently lost his family. His Grandmother who was his guardian, passed away on the 5th April 22 after Evelyn Johnson du Randt and Bonita-lee Davy were called in next door to help. Evelyn did cpr and they arranged for ambo and she later passed away in hospital from a brain anarism. Two weeks later his older brother had a stroke and passed away on the 21st April 22.
Just before Zian’s Granny past away, Bonny asked her brother Ryan Sean Davy who was visiting at the time to take the little guy away for a few days. During this time of being away on the game farm Zian lost both guardians.
Bonny is appealing to anyone for financial help for Zian’s education. Zian has a few problems and needs private tutorship. She is arranging a tutor to come in for an hour a day to start him off with online studies.
Please contact Bonny direct on 0835253403 if anyone can assist a few Rands to help this young lad get educated. Zian is 13 and has a grade 5.
God is great and they are blessed to have this opportunity to give just one kid a bit of a chance in life…
